2024 SPRING CONCERT PERFORMANCE AGREEMENT | MUSIC, DANCE, AND DRAMA DEPARTMENTS

The Franklin School for the Performing Arts will present Spring Concert 2024 on Saturday, May 18 at 4:00 p.m. & 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, May 19 at 1:00 p.m. & 4:00 p.m. This performance agreement contains important information, and we require a parent’s signature from each performer to ensure that you understand the Spring Concert format and procedures.

PERFORMING IN SPRING CONCERT IS OPTIONAL AT FSPA.  We do encourage performing as part of a student’s arts education; we hope to provide a positive, motivating, and FUN opportunity with Spring Concert and an entertaining presentation for our audiences.  FSPA Spring Concert is not the typical “dancing recital” you may have experienced elsewhere.  Our show includes representation from our school’s three departments of Music, Dance and Drama and features some exciting collaborations of the disciplines.  In order for us to provide a professional performance setting, please read and understand this memo BEFORE signing the permission slip.

REHEARSALS
Choreography and music for Spring Concert will be introduced in classes as part of the winter-spring curriculum.  Any student not performing (or taking a make-up class) will gain great experience by learning ANY choreography!   Each dance and musical theater class will have one MANDATORY dress rehearsal (schedule TBD). Voice classes rehearse just prior to showtime on the day of the performance.

*Rehearsal schedules and performance schedules will be posted on FSPAonline.com under “Cast Info” located at the bottom of the home page. Schedules are subject to change. Please check our website frequently for any changes.

SPRING CONCERT FORMAT
With this agreement you recognize that Spring Concert could be presented under several scenarios (if required) and your signature confirms your student’s participation.  There are no refunds for costumes.

Spring Concert is presented in four, 90-minute performances - Saturday at 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. and Sunday at 1:00 p.m. & 4:00 p.m. It is unlikely that children enrolled in more than one class will perform with both classes at the same show.  It would be impossible for us to schedule this way with the number of performers involved.  Advanced dancers MAY be invited to perform a piece in more than one show.

TICKETS
Tickets will be available on FSPAonline.com or by calling 508-528-8668 in April/May
