Academies Collaborative Steering Committee Interest Form
The Academies Collaborative has two open Steering Committee positions for 2024! Please use the brief form below to share your interest in becoming involved with AC leadership. All applicants will be asked to submit a brief letter of interest with a little background on their experience with academies to be reviewed by the current Steering Committee members.

The Academies Collaborative Steering Committee is responsible for conducting the business of the Academies Collaborative in the interim between meetings in accordance with general policies determined by the membership. Duties of the Steering Committee shall include the following: responsibility for the programs of the annual fall meeting of the Academies Collaborative, approval of new members, election of Academies Collaborative officers, appointment of chairs and membership of standing committees, and oversight of other Academies Collaborative activities deemed consonant with the Academies Collaborative's purpose. 

The Steering Committee is composed of 10 individuals elected by the members for three-year terms at staggered intervals, so that two individuals are elected each calendar year. Each member shall be limited to no more than two consecutive terms on the committee.

Steering Committee members are required to:

- Support the planning of and attend quarterly Academies Collaborative webinars
- Provide input and support the planning of the Annual Meeting
- Provide perspective that reflects your home academy
- Attend monthly Zoom steering committee calls (active involvement expected)
- Attend annual Academies Collaborative meeting
