LAD's Student Tutoring and Resource Center - Peer Tutor Application

Welcome! We are glad that you are interested in becoming a peer tutor. Please read the following update. Next, complete the online application and make sure to read each question and answer each question fully. A tutor coordinator will contact you about next steps.

Online tutoring is done through video and audio sessions, which requires tutors to be comfortable being on camera. The online tutoring may be held in the STAR Center in the Ocean Campus or remotely.  To become an online peer tutor, all minimum requirements must be met, along with access to a reliable computer, with camera and audio, headsets and high-speed internet. Additional training will be required for online tutoring: how to administer an online group study session, how to incorporate online tools in your Zoom session, and how to use the online tutoring platform.

Updates will be shared throughout the hiring process.
