Chalice Circles: Volunteer to be a host or to lead a chalice circle in monthly meetings to foster connection and nurture spiritual growth.

Climate Justice: Leading and participating with our SCAN! (Saltwater Climate Action Now!) community's monthly meetings and various activities. Provide updates for our weekly newsletter.

Community Care Team: Provides temporary support for members and friends in times of immediate need i.e. transportation, meals, shopping, companionship. Assist with Celebration of Life and other special services and provide support to the families. Our Community Care Team meets monthly to assess the needs of our community.

CUUPS (Covenant of UU Pagans): Create and share seasonal and Earth centered rituals for small groups and Sunday worship.

Digital Worship Support: Assist with online worship as digital usher in our Zoom room, help troubleshoot any issues with our remote services, host zoom coffee hour. This team shares responsibilities so volunteers rotate which Sundays they are available.

Facilities Team: Help and maintain the health of our buildings, organize work parties for grounds and building upkeep. This team meets monthly and organizes activities as needed. Additional support is provided by collecting contractor bids, following up with vendors for repairs, and helping ensure someone is available when a contractor is onsite.

Faith Formation Team: Collaborates with the Director of Faith Formation to nurture the spiritual growth of people of all ages, with a focus on children, youth, and their families. The team supports children/youth programming, family events, and some adult religious education. This team meets 1 or 2 times a month.

Lighthouse Support Team: Lead or assist in a classroom or Nursery setting with the care and education of our children during church services. Volunteers choose 1 or 2 Sundays per month to be in the classroom or Nursery. A background check is required for approval to volunteer with this team.

Finance Team: This team monitors our incoming and outgoing expenses, helps identify financial priorities, approves fundraising activities, and large "one time" expenses. It works closely with our Board to best support our community. The team meets monthly.

Endowment Team: This team monitors our endowment(s) and regularly reports to the Finance Team.

Giving Tree: Annual Winter event where we collect specific gifts in support of Mark Twain Elementary students and families. Assist Lisa Key in the organization, collection, and distribution of gifts.

Healthy Congregations Team: Moderating difficult conversations and aiding in conflict management. Volunteers for this team typically serve 2 years, receive training in conflict resolution, and help build and repair relationships within our community.

In-Person Tech Support: Join our Usher & Greeter team and help on Sunday with in person services. Job descriptions are on our website at: https://saltwaterchurch.org/worship/worship-petal/wp-inperson-volunteer/ This team has a rotating schedule of Sunday volunteers to ensure you are not needed every Sunday.

Kitchen Crew: Support Coffee Hour by brewing coffee and joining our Kitchen Crew. Help in our kitchen to support coffee hour as well as other in person events. Manage cleaning the kitchen and ordering kitchen supplies for our SHARED kitchen. Work with our rental communities to maintain the space.

Lay Minister: Our community has a small selection of members who have received training to become a Lay Minister and help with providing pastoral care.

Minister Search Team: During times of transition a small group is formed to aid in finding a new minister. They help update our congregation profile with the UUA, identify what characteristics and qualities our community desires in a minister, and then help find our new minister through interviews etc.

Multigenerational Events: Serve on one of our teams that organizes special multigenerational events for our community. Events include but are not limited to, Community Picnic, Fall In Gathering, Excursions, Forest Bathing, Church Retreat.

Music Ministry: Sharing your musical skills (vocal and/or instrumental) with our choir and community. Our choir typically meets once a week except during the summer months.

Racial Justice: Leading and participating with our Racial Justice Organizing Team in their monthly meetings as well as during special events and activities such as a community social justice book club.

Sabbatical Search Team: When we have a settled minister, they receive a sabbatical after a specified number of years. We call upon our Sabbatical Search Team roughly a year prior to a scheduled sabbatical to assist with the search for our temporary minister.

Safety Team: Work with our rental communities to meet monthly and identify safety issues and improvements for the facility and communities, coordinate action items with our Facilities Team and Office Administrator.

Social Team: Organize, arrange, and support our after service in person events such as our quarterly Community Potlucks. Responsibilities include opening the building, setting up for the event, arranging for kitchen duty if needed, cleaning up after the event, arranging for linens to be washed if needed, and closing the building.

Stewardship: Help organize our Pledge Drive, community auction, community flea market, and other fundraising activities. This team meets as needed seasonally.

Website Maintenance Team: Our website is managed using WordPress. We need a small team of technically inclined persons to help keep our information up to date and all our links properly connected. This team assists the Office Administrator as needed.

Welcoming Team: Making people feel welcome at church functions and connecting with visitors to include contacting them in a week or so of their visit to welcome them and address any questions they may have.

Worship Associate: Participate in creating and presenting Sunday services in persona nd via Zoom.

Worship Team: Support our minister and music director in worship programming both in person and via Zoom.

Youth Only Events: Help organize events specifically for our youth to foster connection and nurture spiritual growth within their peer group. Common activities include baking events, kayaking excursions, forest bathing, camping, game activities, etc.
