CAMBRIDGE BLACK MEDICS SOCIETY NETWORK
CBMS Network is an infrastructure primarily founded to connect Black medical students with professionals within the medical space. The Network has a secondary purpose of connecting medical professionals with each other - both locally (in Cambridge and London) and across the world.
We pride ourselves on the quality, rather than quantity, of professional relationships fostered. Our Network’s three main endeavours are: to support career mentorship, promote teaching/research partnerships and provide pastoral care for the emerging generation of Black healthcare professionals.
Membership to the Network requires members to commit to engagement with students as well as with correspondence from other members. Due to the often unique experiences of Black medical students, our Network is limited to Black or mixed-ethnicity doctors, medical academics and other professionals with a medical background of all seniority levels. However, as a society, we are always more than happy to connect with all who are passionate about promoting equality in healthcare.
