The Little Habitat Project Enrollment Form

The Little Habitat projects serves residents in developed areas, includes benefits for the participants and ecosystem, and offers three certification levels: Level I (Acorn), Level II (Seedling), and Level III (Oak).

Follow these steps to become a certified Little Habitat:

  1. Review the Certification Criteria Checklist.
  2. Determine which actions you will take to qualify.
  3. Use this form to enroll. The Little Habitat Project coordinator will contact you and assist you with the next steps.
  4. Implement any practices needed to qualify for your certification level.
  5. Submit Certification Form online.

The Little Habitat Project encourages community participation in creation of a network of connected habitats in developed areas that provide corridors for wildlife to travel and the habitat elements they need to thrive. I understand that my participation in the program is voluntary. I understand that I am responsible for ensuring that my actions meet all federal and local laws and ordinances. I will obtain any necessary permits and further technical advice. Marion Soil and Water Conservation District, and their employees, agents, and contractors, accept no liability for actions taken by the property owner and property owner agrees to hold harmless and indemnify Marion Soil and Water Conservation District and their employees, agents and contractors from any liability, claims, lawsuits or judgments including attorney’s fees, costs and expenses arising out of or in connection with the performance of services under The Little Habitat Project.
