Growing Grounds is a part of the Transitions-Mental Health Association in SLO. TMHA is non-profit that is is dedicated to eliminating stigma and promoting recovery and wellness for people with mental illness through work, housing, community, and family support services. Volunteers at Growing Grounds will work in the nursery on Orcutt Rd. Work is done outdoors, so bring a hat and water bottle, and wear appropriate clothing (close-toed shoes, no bare midriffs or shoulders, no short-shorts) and sunscreen if appropriate.
