We are honored to have amazing 4-H volunteers in Washington County! Their contributions to youth development make our county a great place to live and grow. Adult volunteers and businesses may be nominated by other adults or youth, and they may nominate themselves. The award winners will be selected from the pool of nominations we receive. The nomination deadline is August 31st. (Please note: we are not able to consider incomplete nomination forms.)

Friend of 4-H (Individual): Designed to honor individuals who have made contributions to 4-H on a countywide basis. These contributions to 4-H may be in the form of personal service, leadership, special training, publicity or financial support. The individual should have meaningful involvement in 4-H, be committed to the philosophy of 4-H Youth Development, and demonstrate high personal standards.

Friend of 4-H (Business): Designed to honor a business/organization that has made contributions to 4-H on a countywide basis. These contributions to 4-H may be in the form of personal service, leadership, special training, publicity or financial support. The business/organization should have meaningful involvement in 4-H, be committed to the philosophy of 4-H Youth Development, and demonstrate high ethical standards.

4-H Alumni Award: Person nominated must have been a 4-H member anywhere in the United States. The person may have remained active in 4-H by becoming a leader and sharing skills with youth. This award is designed to honor previous 4-H members who have distinguished themselves as adults. The nominee should have made significant contributions to his/her vocation and/or significant voluntary contributions to the local community and beyond. (These contributions are not restricted to 4-H.)
