The contest organized by M9District and M-Children (
www.mchildren.it) and promoted by Global Minecraft Mentor Marco Vigelini (
www.makercamp.it) intends to develop skills in the field of active and democratic citizenship also linking them to issues related to urban regeneration, inspired by the UN directives.

PRIZES
The winner will be announced by the end of May and the prizes will be awarded in the first week of June. Fondazione di Venezia will provide accommodation and breakfast for three nights in Venice for the winner school class and two teachers in the period between June, 1 and December, 31 2020. Winner is asked to join a Skype call on June with the Museum M9.
THE PROJECT
Construct in Minecraft one or more buildings of public utility (social and/or cultural) for one’s neighbourhood bearing in mind the indications of the “Agenda 2030” (which mentions themes of social inclusion, sustainability, accessibility etc.) The link to the starting Minecraft world will be provided by email on November 25th 2020.
PROJECT EVALUATION CRITERIA
Projects will be ranked by a panel of experts. The criteria followed in the assessment are the following:
– Coherence between the project and the development strategies of the 2030 Agenda: energy saving, security, accessibility and environmental sustainability;
– the promotion of teamwork, of positive debate between equals, of the importance of agreement and in general, the effectiveness of a well thought-out and well-planned project
The competition and the prizes are open to schools from all over the world.
The museum M9 will give to your class Minecraft licenses - for free and while stocks last - that you have to use to complete this project.
