This form is for young people aged between 11 and 18 who wish to stand for election as a Youth Ambassador for a Ward/area of Warrington.

Role of the Youth Ambassador
The role of Youth Ambassador is to represent the young people who live within the area they represent, Youth Ambassadors will work with local leaders, MPs, Borough Councillors, local government agencies, local police and the public sector.

Youth Ambassadors will be expected to attend a regular meeting every month which should last for about 1 hour 30 minutes on average. Youth Ambassadors maybe expected to attend events or take part in other Youth Cabinet activity.

Youth Ambassadors will get to vote on the pledges and priorities of Warrington Youth Cabinet and help to shape the activity that goes on between Youth Officers within the Warrington Youth Cabinet departments.

Youth Ambassadors will get the chance to debate important local matters and try to build something positive out of the debate and resolve the matter for other young people.

Timeline for these elections
Young people can register as a candidate until Wednesday 30th September 2020 at 10pm

Between 30th September 2020 and 5th October 2020 our Elections Team will be processing the candidates details and preparing for the elections.

From Monday 12th October 2020 at 9am anyone between ages 11 and 19 can vote for their preferred candidate for the area/ward they live within.

On Friday 23rd October 2020 at 5pm voting will stop.

On Friday 23rd October 2020 at 6.30pm all candidates and their families will be invited to a Zoom event where the results will be announced and we will celebrate the successful candidates. All candidates will be invited to receive a certificate at the end of the process at a later date.
