Safety Patrol
Safety Patrol is set up to promote safe and acceptable conduct of the student body. This is done through monitoring hallway traffic and outside arrival and dismissal of students on a daily basis, as well as performing other duties in the school throughout the school year. Safety Patrols serve as models for other students and visitors to the school and continuously demonstrate good citizenship. School Safety Patrols should demonstrate positive characteristics such as leadership, respect for others, strong sense of responsibility, obedience to school rules, good attendance, kindness, and a desire to serve the school and community. Students must be a rising 5th or 6th grader.

NOTE: Students who are selected to be Safety Patrols will attend a Safety Patrol Training meeting. At that time, they will receive important information about Safety Patrol responsibilities and duties. The meeting information will come later in the summer.

Youth Advisory Council (YAC)
The Youth Advisory Council (YAC) is an important part of our school! This student group, made up of representatives from Grades 3-6, helps during the school year by leading and promoting special projects to fellow students and the school community. Being a YAC rep is a great way to be active in your school and to practice leadership skills that will get you ready for middle school and beyond. You will be expected to come to meetings (unless excused) and to participate in most activities. YAC representatives should model appropriate school behavior, using the 4Bs – Be Safe, Be Responsible, Be Respectful, and Be a Learner – and the school rules as your guides. You may be participating in school events and local field trips where other students, teachers, parents, and members of the community notice your behavior. You need to represent our school well. To be a member of YAC, you must be a rising 3rd, 4th, 5th, or 6th Grader.

Media Center Helpers
Being a Media Center Helper is an important role in our school. Since every student and teacher uses the Media Center, Mrs. Holman has a big job keeping everything going. Students who want to become Media Center helpers will be willing to help Mrs. Holman with duties including: cleaning, help with check in or out, get materials ready (cutting, sorting, sharpen pencils), keep chromebooks and labs tidy, and putting books from carts back on shelves. You must be able to put books in alphabetical order on the shelves. Students must be rising 4th, 5th, or 6th Graders to participate as a Media Helper.

CCETV News Team
CCETV News Team members are responsible for delivering the news to our school. Student duties would include being news anchor, camera operator, script writer, doing interviews, and others. You must be willing to work as a team and complete your duty since everyone is important to delivering the news. If you would like to be on CCETV, you would need to be here by 8:00am everyday to be ready to start the news. Students must be a rising 5th or 6th grader to be on CCETV.

EC Helpers
Students that are EC helpers would go to the EC Cluster classes to help the
teachers and students. They will work with kids on games, activites, and other duties as assigned during certain times in the morning. Students must be rising 6th graders to be an EC helper.

Kindergarten Helpers
Students who would like to be KIndergarten helpers will go to the Kindergarten classes in the morning during homeroom to work with students. They will help kinders get breakfast, work on sight words, read with students, work on math facts, or other activities. This club is for rising 6th graders.
