LA SEMILLA FOOD CENTER
REGISTRATION AND CANCELLATION POLICIES
La Semilla Food Center Summer Day Camp is offered for children grades 1st to 5th grade. Children must be 6 years old by June 1 of the camp year to be accepted into the program.
RESERVATIONS
Acceptance is on a first come, first serve basis. Registrants will receive program confirmation. Please keep the record of confirmation. If a session is full, you will be notified that your name will be added to a waiting list. All forms must be submitted before a camper is considered fully registered.
CAMP TIMES AND WEATHER
Participants need to arrive on time at 9:00 am and must be picked up by the ending time at 12:00 pm. A $10.00 fee will be added to you if you arrive later than 12:15 pm to pick up your child. An additional $15.00/30 minutes fee will be added for every 30 minutes or portion thereof thereafter your child is in the care of La Semilla staff after 12:00 pm. Programs are held rain or shine; please dress campers accordingly. In case of rain, activities may be modified and moved indoors; Activities are immediately moved to safety if there is any lightening or thunder in the area. However, if there are weather advisories, La Semilla reserves the right to cancel the day.
SNACK AND LUNCHES
Each day includes a healthy morning snack and light lunch provided by La Semilla. Participants must bring a refillable water bottle. If your child has dietary restrictions or allergies, please note this information on the registration form.
MEDICAL AND EMERGENCY INFORMATION
So that we may provide the best care for your child, in the case of emergency, please complete all the medical information on the program registration form and call the office if contact numbers change. Staff is not permitted to administer over the counter or prescription medications to your child. If your child must take medication during their time at the Farm, they must be able to self medicate and all medications (including dosage) must be labeled and given to an instructor when dropping off your child.
CANCELLATION AND REFUND
You may change or cancel your child’s registration up to 5 days before the first day of camp. La Semilla Food Center reserves the right to cancel camps due to low enrollment.
FACILITIES
Camp is held at La Semilla Food Center’s Office located at 101 E Joy Rd, Anthony, NM and La Semilla Community Farm located at 350 Our Way, Anthony, NM.
ABSENCES, EARLY RELEASES, AND ILLNESS
If your child will be absent from camp, please notify the Camp Leader as soon as possible. If you need to pick your child up from camp early, please arrange this with your Camp Leader in advance. In the case of illness, your child must be free of fever, vomiting, and diarrhea for at least 24 hours before attending or returning to camp. This is to protect the health of our staff and other campers.
