Ascending - Climbing Model Volunteer Info Sheet
This is an application to be a climbing model volunteer for the Ascending for Photography courses with Climbers of Color. This is a Black, Indigenous, and/or People of Color (BIPOC) only space. We are only looking for BIPOC climbing models. Modeling and lead climbing experience NOT REQUIRED.

You will be climbing and posing for photographers on real rock on a Washington crag (most likely Exit 32 or 38 off I90).

Be Prepared to:
  • Sit around
  • Climb the same climb multiple times
  • Pose down hard
  • Take on your bolts/gear
  • Speak up if you feel uncomfortable or unsafe

You may get some cool photos out of it! Photos will be shared with you. Modeling is not compensated.

Please wear bright colors.

Estimated time for the 2024 season will be 10am-5pm on the following dates: July 28th (Sunday) OR August 4th (Sunday)

We do send out a recommended gear list to everyone so if you plan on purchasing gear for this course that is also a good resource. We do have harnesses that can go up to 70" waist and helmets up to a 25" diameter.
