Al-Maqasid Madrasa Registration
                                                                            ﷽

The Al-Maqasid Madrasa - known as Madrasa Al-Nash' Al-Ṣāliḥ, meaning "Righteous Upbringing" - is dedicated to nurturing a profound love for Allah ﷻ and His Beloved ﷺ within the hearts of our young scholars. This love is inherently present in their fitrah (innate disposition), and our goal is to nurture this sentiment by imparting the teachings of the Prophetic Inheritance. These teachings will aid them in maturing as devout believers, enabling them to flourish as steadfast followers of their faith, and to contribute positively to humanity, by the grace of Allah.

An array of Islamic sciences are offered at Madrasa Al-Nash' Al-Ṣāliḥ encompassing subjects such as Quranic studies, Hadith, Fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence), Sira (biography of the Prophet ﷺ ), Islamic etiquette, and supplications.

Program Overview

For the 2023-2024 academic year, Madrasa classes will be provided to the community through a two-part program:

1. A morning Hifdh (memorization) segment with a primary focus on the Quran, accompanied by Islamic sciences that involve memorization.

2. A weekly afternoon Rawha Program, comprising Sīra (biography of the Prophet ﷺ ), Islamic etiquette, supplications, and an engaging activity.

MADRASA HIFDH PROGRAM

Madrasa al-Nash' al-Ṣāliḥ is intended for children aged 6 to 11, a period during which their remarkable ability to memorize and retain information is at its peak.

Our Madrasa Hifdh Program is designed to facilitate the memorization of the Quran, Hadith, invocations, and foundational texts of the Islamic tradition. While Quran memorization has always been a part of the Madrasa, our renewed focus is on prioritizing Hifdh al-Quran, starting with our morning program and followed by other Islamic sciences that also involve memorization.

The Madrasa's Hifdh Program is geared towards the optimal time for memorization, the early hours after the Fajr prayer, when minds are alert and fresh.

Allah encourages us in the Quran: "And recite the Quran during the Fajr. Verily, the recitation of the Quran during Fajr is ever witnessed." (17:78)

The Prophet stated: "It is witnessed by the angels of the night and the day." (Sunan Ibn Majah)

Our objective is to embed this sunnah in the lives of our students, their families, and the wider community, with the Hifdh program being offered three days a week, Tuesday through Thursday, from 6:30 am to 8:00 am. During these sessions, students will focus primarily on Hifdh al-Quran, followed by classes in Hadith, Fiqh, and 'Aqida.

To achieve success in the Hifdh Madrasa program, collaboration with parents and a consistent routine at home are essential to enable each student to realize their full potential. While Madrasa teachers employ various teaching techniques to aid students' learning and memorization during class, it's important to recognize that memorization necessitates regular repetition and review.

We recommend parents help their children allocate at least 5-6 hours per week to memorization and review at home. We view parents as our partners in education and strive to provide them with all the necessary resources to support their child(ren) in learning and memorizing the material.

We firmly believe that each student can achieve their highest potential at the Madrasa with an optimal learning environment both in the classroom and at home.

MADRASA RAWHA

The second component of the Madrasa program for this academic year is the afternoon Rawha. A Rawha is traditionally a class that takes place in the late afternoon or early evening, that focuses on subjects that are related to Islamic spirituality. This time of the day is particularly a blessed time in which the provision for hearts is being distributed.

The Rawha class will occur once a week. The Madrasa’s Rawha encompasses an Islamic science component along with an interactive session to encourage student engagement with their peers. Additionally, the class will feature guest speakers and activity days. These sessions will take place every Wednesday afternoon from 4:00 pm to 5:15 pm.

Please note: While we strongly encourage students to enroll in both the Madrasa Hifdh and Rawha programs, understanding that together they constitute the Madrasa program for the year, we acknowledge that some students may face constraints in participating in both. As such, enrollment in both programs is not mandatory. While the two components will complement each other, attendance in one will not impact students' performance or comprehension in the other. Please be aware that the registration process remains the same regardless of whether students are enrolling in one or both programs.
