OUR COMMUNITY REMEMBERS JESUS: The Church's liturgical year (see image below), begins on the First Sunday of Advent, which occurs either at the end of November or beginning of December, and it ends on the Feast of Christ the King which is the last Sunday of the liturgical year in November.
The seasons you see on the Liturgical Calendar i.e., Advent, Christmas, Lent, Easter are events we celebrate and that draws Catholics, each Sunday at Mass, into the unfolding story and mystery of Jesus' Incarnation (when Jesus was born as man), his public ministry (teachings) to his Death, Resurrection, and the sending of the Holy Spirit.
If you look at page 1 of your Together in Jesus; First Eucharist Lesson 2 you will see a picture of members of our Church community celebrating what event? If you said the birth of Jesus, you are right. The season of Advent is a four week period where the Church prepares to celebrate Jesus' birthday on December 25th.
Read page 1 of your lesson and when you are done locate the "Advent Wreath" sticker and place it in the spot indicated on page 1 (see image below).
