Chaperone/Pit Crew Interest Form 2022/2023
Thank you for your interest in volunteering as a chaperone and/or pit crew member. These are two of the most rewarding jobs as a volunteer for the Etiwanda High School Bands and Color Guard Booster Program.
What does the role of Chaperone include?
As chaperones, we assist the students at football games, tournaments, parades, and other events with uniform adjustments, pluming, hydration, first aid, and many other situations that may arise. We are there to cheer them on and to offer encouragement. At times, we may be called upon to assist with moving equipment on and off the field at competitions.
What does the role of Pit Crew Member include?
Pit Crew members are the overseers of the props and equipment. Pre-competition season, Pit Crew is responsible for the building of props, and maintenance and repair of equipment. They are the volunteers who make it possible to get our gear from Etiwanda HS to Point B and back. At tournaments and football games, Pit Crew members assist the students with getting props and pit equipment on and off the field.
Both of these positions work closely with each other. There are many opportunities for parents to interact with one another, building lasting friendships. And it's a great feeling knowing you are part of a group of volunteers who help our students succeed.
Below is a quick form to tell us a little about your interests. As we enter the planning stages for the 2020/2021 year, we will be contacting you with additional information on ways we can use your help. As the expression goes, "It takes a village...".
