2024 U25 Travel & Training Grant Application

The OEA U25 Committee is pleased to offer travel and training grants, available to U25 members, to assist with travel expenses to competitions, to attend U25 clinics and events, or to be able to travel to train with a coach to improve their skills and horsemanship.  For 2024, we are planning to offer up to $8000 worth of grants with amounts per recipient to be determined based on need.

  • Mid-season application deadline of July 1st.  Up to $4000 total in grants are to be awarded at this time.

  • End-of-season application deadline of October 1st.  If all of the $4000 is not awarded at the first disbursement, any remaining grant money will be available to be awarded at the second disbursement.

These grants are to be awarded at the discretion of the OEA U25 Committee and are approved by the OEA Board of Directors, based on the applications received.  Grant recipients are required to pay it forward and volunteer in the 2024 U25 program.  We are looking to build not just remarkable riders but remarkable leaders, who give back to this Eventing community.

These grants are non-transferable and must be taken as awarded (i.e. for the purpose of travel to an event) and are to be refunded in full if the horse/rider cancels their participation in an event.  An exception may be made if non-refundable expenses have already been incurred (ie. the rider has entered and traveled to an event, and has to scratch before starting due to lameness).
