Islamic Center of Greater Cincinnati (ICGC) values a commitment to excellence in education.  In order to reflect this, ICGC will recognize and honor an outstanding Lakota Educator.  The Outstanding Teacher Award may be honored by parents whose children attend or have attended Lakota School district middle or high school.

Characteristics of an award recipient might include, but are not limited to, the following:
*Demonstrates a high commitment toward student achievement
*Has the ability to challenge students at all levels
*Is a caring, thoughtful person who extends himself or herself to make a positive difference
*Understands and highlights diversity in the classroom
*Supportive and understanding toward others – parents, children, colleagues
*Continually improves personally and professionally
*Demonstrates skills that are motivational, inspirational, supportive, creative, etc.
