Three Kings Celebration
Join us for a festive evening of live music and community! Celebrate the Three Kings with a performance by Los Pleneros de La 21, a renowned Afro-Puerto Rican drum and dance ensemble. We’ll also honor Juan Gutiérrez, a National Heritage Fellow, and Sammy Tanco for their contributions to preserving Puerto Rican music and culture.

Founded in 1983 by Juan Gutiérrez, Los Pleneros de La 21 blends traditional Afro-Puerto Rican bomba and plena music with contemporary influences like jazz and salsa. Their performances celebrate Puerto Rican culture and heritage while fostering community and education.
About Juan Gutiérrez:
Juan Gutiérrez, born in Santurce, Puerto Rico, is a master percussionist dedicated to preserving Afro-Puerto Rican music. He co-founded Los Pleneros de La 21 to promote the traditions of bomba and plena, bringing these vibrant art forms to audiences worldwide.
