July 10th, 11th, 12th

          10:30 am to 11:30 am

July 13th at 6 pm, Open Showcase Class, Free & Open to Family & Friends!

Location: 675 Pulaski St, Suite 1200, Athens, GA 30601 (ATHICA)

Objective:    Dance tells a story, come share yours with us!

Our dance workshop aims to spark a love of creative movement in our students. We will begin with a warmup, and learn stretches that the students can do before any sport/movement class. We will move on to larger steps across the floor and learn skips, leaps, spins, and more! After learning some foundation steps, we will look at several musical theatre dances set to music, such as scenes from “Annie,” “The Lion King,” and “Mary Poppins”. Through this class, we aim to instill in our students a love of movement and the arts more broadly.

About the Instructor:

Eva Elarbee is a native Athenian with 11 years of dance teaching experience and a life-long love of creative movement. She teaches with the Joan Mann Dance Studio in Watkinsville and has choreographed musicals for Athens Creative Theatre and Westminster Christian Academy. She loves dance because it can be used to tell a story and is a universal language that connects us all.
