Collection development is a joint responsibility of the academic and library staff. Teachers are encouraged to recommend books and other instructional materials.

Faculty members may recommend titles any time they find titles worth acquiring. They must take note of author, title, publisher or book dealer, copyright date, and other relevant information about the book. They will have to fill out a recommendation form for this purpose.

During book fairs, faculty members may select titles they have personally seen and reviewed. They will have to fill out a selection form that must be inserted conspicuously in the book for Acquisitions staff to collect.
