We're so excited that you'd like to sign up as a member of QTAC! Membership is, and always will be, free. The primary function of membership is as an opt-in to receive communications from us.

What is QTAC?

QTAC is a trans-led organization that provides economic opportunity and community connection for LGBTQIA+ artists and makers. Our flagship program is our fee-free outdoor "Queer Makers Market" that we run six times a year. The QMM provides economic opportunity to local artists and makers and is a community gathering space for the larger Tallahassee queer community. Each market features 12-20+ individual artists and makers, all members of the LGBTQIA+ community. The primary motivator of our programs is to provide folks with a joyful, affirming, and empowering space while living in Florida's capitol city.

In addition to the market, we run a free art supply closet for artists to exchange and access supplies for making (or fun!) that does outdoor pop-ups to provide an additional opportunity for socializing and community. In the latter half of 2023 we began hosting "Big Gay Hangouts" to provide an outdoor and accessible hang out space for the local LGBTQIA+ community to socialize in the company of community.

What do you mean by LGBTQIA+? What if I'm an ally?

We do not require folks to disclose their orientation/gender identity in the membership form, market applications, or any other other event registration. We do ask that only folks who self-identify as a member of the LGBTQIA+ community sign up as a member of QTAC and apply to vend at markets. Allies and allied businesses/community orgs are asked to sign up for our newsletter in lieu of signing up as a member.

As an organization QTAC is working to create economic opportunity for marginalized creators in the LGBTQIA+ community. However, we recognize that marginalization happens along multiple axes: race, class, ethnicity, sexual orientation, and gender identity.
