Johnston High School Fall Cheerleading Tryouts 24-25
Please fill out the following information. Application and all paperwork must be filled out and turned in prior to the TRYOUT.

Johnston High School Cheer Tryouts are for current 9th through 11th graders THAT WILL BE ATTENDING JOHNSTON HIGH SCHOOL IN THE FALL OF 2024-2025.

Tryouts will take place on Saturday, May 18th starting with a clinic from 8:00am - 11:00am and tryouts beginning at 12:00pm. The clinic is required in order to be eligible to tryout, this is where you will review the material necessary for your tryout at 12:00pm. Within 24 to 48 hours of submitting this registration for you will be emailed more information about the season. Tryout material will be taught during the tryout clinic.

A Johnston Cheer Program parent/athlete meeting will follow tryouts on Tuesday, May 21st at 5:00pm at Johnston High School.

Tryout Requirement #2: Part of each high school candidate's score will include two teacher recommendations. When you submit this form you will receive an email titled "JHS Cheerleading Tryouts 24-25" within that email will be a link you will need to share with two teachers to fill out on your behalf. You must have two recommendations in order to be eligible to tryout. *

Tryout Requirement #3: The "Johnston Cheerleading Requirements and Rules" form must be turned in the day of tryouts to be eligible. Please be sure to read the tryout packet and handbook in its entirety for this information. *

Tryout Requirement #4: The tryout clinic will be Saturday, May 18th from 8:00am-11:00am. Check in will be from 8:00-8:15pm. We will begin teaching and reviewing material at 8:15am. This is where you will review the necessary material for the tryout. Tryouts will begin promptly at 12:00pm. *

What to wear: Solid white t-shirt, black shorts, cheer shoes or tennis shoes. Hair must be up in a ponytail or bun. Absolutely no jewelry. Nails must be cut short enough that they cannot be seen above your finger tips. *

If you choose NOT to accept the position you are offered, please contact Coach Brown immediately as there may be others who would like the opportunity to cheer. You will have until Monday, May 20th to decline a position. *
