Thank you so much for your interest in participating in Lodestar's Wheels for Wellness event being held on Saturday, May 4, 2024 in Babylon Village! Please read this form carefully as it contains all of the information about the event.
Participants in Wheels for Wellness will ride to raise money for Lodestar Children’s Services. All money raised will go toward staffing and updating our new community space to allow us to continue delivering care to youth in need.
Not a cyclist? All wheels, as well as walkers, are welcome to participate! Bikes, scooters, roller blades/skates, skateboards, wheelchairs, etc! We ask that you please do not bring motorized vehicles to the event, unless you require a motorized mobility aid to participate. Lodestar has also partnered with Vicious Cycle (213 Higbie Ln, West Islip) and Bethpage Credit Union to offer bikes for rent if needed. Participants in the event will have the option of a 1.5 mile, 3 mile, or 6 mile path. At 10am on May 4th, please meet at The Gazebo, located at 244 W Main St., Babylon, NY, 11702. Here, you will receive a Participation Pin. Only riders with Participation Pins will be able to join us on the ride.
The cycling event will begin at approximately 10:30am. A post-event celebration will be held at Argyle Gazebo from 11am-2pm, where there will be music, food, vendors, raffles, and games. Admission to the post-event celebration is free, but food, gifts, and raffle tickets will be an additional fee.
Participants also have the option of becoming a fundraiser. We highly encourage all participants to sign up as fundraisers in order to help us meet our goal of $70,000 for our youth center. Those who choose to become fundraisers will be independently responsible for raising money before the event and can submit donations on the day of the event or by contacting Noelle Arebalo (narebalo@lodestarcs.org).
This form is used to register as a cycling participant or volunteer. Please choose the appropriate responses to be led to the correct registration form. If you would like to be a participant in the event and as a volunteer after the event/during the celebration, please fill out this form twice.
All ages are welcome to enter. All minors interested in participating in the event or volunteering should get a parent or guardian to help them fill out this form. If you are an adult choosing to participate with a child/children, please indicate that you are participating as a team/family.
A registration fee of $25 is required for each participant. Your registration fee includes 1 adult and 1 child. Each additional child who wishes to participate with an adult is $10. Please use the Donorbox located at at www.lodestarcs.org/wheels-for-wellness to pay your registration fee in advance. Please make sure to indicate your name/your team’s name in the “Write Us a Comment” box at the bottom of the donation section so we can properly link your registration fee to you. This fee goes towards your fundraising goal if you choose to set one.
We highly encourage you to pay your participation fee in advance of the event to make the sign-in process more efficient for everyone. We understand that this is not always possible, so if you need to pay any fees, or would like to submit donations, on the day of the event, please arrive early to ensure that we have ample time to sign everyone in and begin the event on time.
A Lodestar representative will reach out to you 2-3 days after you complete the form in order to confirm your registration. If you don’t receive this confirmation, would like to make changes to your registration, or have any other questions/comments/concerns, please contact Noelle Arebalo (narebalo@lodestarcs.org).
