ILDC, the Immigrant Legal Defense Center seeks to empower immigrant communities through interactive know-your-rights workshops. The objective is to provide people with essential tools, so that they know their civil rights in case they have an encounter with ICE on the street, at their doorstep, etc. Some of the tools involve: information about people's rights with law enforcement and federal immigration agents, non profit legal services in our community, and emergency family plans. You can become and ILDC Promotorx and conduct these KYR presentations and resources in the community, we will train you and provide you with the resources necessary to organize these presentations. It is a great way to connect with your local community and stand up for immigrants' rights! Also, we do provide you with a small stipend when conducting these presentations.

ILDC, el Centro de Defensa Legal al Inmigrante busca el fortalecimiento de las comunidades migrantes a través de los talleres interactivos "Conozca sus derechos" (CSD). El objetivo es proporcionar a la gente los suficientes recursos para que conozcan sus derechos civiles por si se diera el caso de que llegaran a tener un encuentro con la migra (ICE) en la calle, la puerta de su casa, etc. Algunos de estos recursos incluyen: información sobre los derechos del individuo con las fuerzas de la ley y los agentes de inmigración federales, servicios legales gratuitos en nuestra comunidad y planes familiares de emergencia. Usted puede ser un Promotor de ILDC y hacer presentaciones/talleres, y proveer recursos de "Conozca sus derechos" en su comunidad. Nosotros los entrenamos y les proveemos los recursos necesarios para organizar estos talleres. Es una gran manera de conectar con su comunidad local y proteger los derechos humanos y civiles de la comunidad indocumentada! También, proveemos un pequeño sueldo por hacer estas presentaciones.
