Getting to the Heart of the Voice StudioAt every NEWZATS conference we offer our members an opportunity to present their voice and voice-teaching research findings to the delegates. This does not need to be in the form of traditional "research".
There are two or three twenty-five minute slots available for these Lunchtime Presentations which will occur at 1.00pm each day the beginning of the lunch hour.
We now invite submissions of proposals for presentations on your current or recent research projects. These should involve some form of visual presentation (power-point and handout). While it would be great to have paper presentations that are based on Conference topics, alternate topics will be considered.
Timeline:- 1 May: Application deadline, applications reviewed by a panel from the NEWZATS Council
- 15 May: Successful Applicants notified and sent more information about the process and administration
- 15 June: Due date for sending any documents for printing or projecting to admin@newzats.org.nz
Barbara Nicholls Memorial Scholarship:At each conference, Council appoint a teacher/trainee with a passion for knowledge and learning, the opportunity to address our conference in honour of Barbara Nicholls' memory, with some conference expenses covered.
Barbara Nicholls was an outstanding member of NEWZATS. She joined early in the formation of the association and worked tirelessly on our behalf. Barbara was spoken of by past Presidents, with much affection and respect. Her passions were her students and professional development for singing teachers. She often circulated articles and encouraged teachers to continue learning and improve their teaching.
If you would like to be considered for this scholarship, please tick the "Yes" box in the final question. These presentations are usually longer than the 25-minute paper presentations.
