Dominion Energy Veterans Guitar Workshop Series Registration Form
The Dominion Energy Veterans Guitar Workshop Series is free to Veterans, Servicemembers, their families, and military caregivers.  Please note the information sheet on HyltonCenter.org/veterans for information about minimum age of participation, as well as our inclement weather policy.

The workshop series will occur on Tuesday evenings from February 4 – April 7, 2020.  Level I is from 7 – 7:45 p.m., and Level II is from 8 – 8:45 p.m.

The objective of the workshops is to help each participant improve their general guitar skills to play songs; curriculum is flexible and is determined at the discretion of the instructor to meet the needs of a diverse group of abilities.  To determine the difference between Level I and Level II, please see the registration form below.

Space is limited; therefore, we ask all participants to plan to attend the entire 10-week series.

To be considered for the workshop, please fill out the registration below, and you will be contacted regarding the status of your registration.  Registration forms that are incomplete will be returned to be completed.  Each member of a family who is participating should fill out an individual form.

We do have a limited number of guitars available for Veterans, Servicemembers, military family members, and military caregivers who do not currently own a guitar. Guitars are not guaranteed. Would you like to borrow a guitar for the duration of the 10-week series? *
**How to determine if you should take Level I or Level II of the Dominion Energy Veterans Guitar Workshop Series
1. Can "you" (the student) accurately read any song written on strings 1 - 3 (E B G) with few mistakes?                                    2. Can you read tablature?                                                                                                                                                                                     3. Do you know a number of chords and can you quickly switch between these chords?                                                                        4. Can you use both a pick and your fingers when playing songs that call for a particular technique?                                                                             If you are confident with these 4 skills, consider taking Level II.  If not, take Level I.
