All grade 11 and 12 students who attend National STAR Fest - East are welcome and encouraged to apply for our Scholarships. We will be providing $500 scholarships in the following areas: Theatre Performance, Theatre Leadership, Future Theatre Educator, and Tech Theatre / Design. Inducted STAR Guild members from your STAR Troupe can receive full $500 scholarships and non-inducted students can receive a max $250 scholarship.  

Students who apply will be given an interview/performance time slot during National STAR Fest. All students will be interviewed by our selection panel, students for Tech Theatre Design Scholarship will need to showcase their portfolio (documentation and/or samples of their work in tech/design/stagecraft) while students for the Theatre Performance scholarship will be required to perform a monologue or song (max 2 mins) or two contrasting monologues (max 3 mins total) or a monologue and song (max 4 mins total)  

Students may be offered external scholarships after their audition/interview by our partner post secondary institutions above and beyond the $500.00 scholarships. The announcement of scholarship winners will be done at the closing ceremonies.

GRADE 11 students will audition for advanced placement external scholarships from our partner post-secondary institutions - if there are audition times remaining. But scheduling priority will be given to grade 12's.
