MHA: Adversity Project
Hey guys! Welcome to a safe space. Thanks for being so patient with me. This was challenging to create!

For those of you who asked for more information:  This is to remember that our mental health is ever-evolving, but we never have to work on it alone. I will be piecing together all of your responses in hopes to eventually organize a shoot with you. (I am down to travel to you, meet somewhere, [all from 6 feet away], etc., whatever makes YOU comfortable). This photoshoot will portray how you deal with some of the most challenging moments in life, your "demons" if you will. You're more than welcome to share more than one mechanism. We can do this however you want; your environment, your story. When all stories and images are collected, I will (with your permission) be sharing them as a collective piece on two platforms: @jnmimagery (IG) + jnmimagery.com.
*If you'd like for your contribution and photo session to be for your eyes only, feel free to let me know and all of your information will remain confidential.*

Please answer the following questions so I can get a better idea about you and your story. As much info as you can give would be super helpful to not only this project as a whole but those who may learn from it. If there's anything you feel you can't answer or don't want to, no worries! Just skip em :-)

Again, thanks so much for taking the time to complete this and taking the journey with me. Hope you gain something from sharing your story with others, and vice versa. There are many out there with similar hardships, waiting to feel connected. Let's do this!

Much love <3 — J

What do you generally do for work? Does it deviate from what you'd consider your dream job? If so, what would you like to be doing instead?
Tell me a little bit about you as a person!  [ could be anything, as little or as much as you'd like :) ]
How does the topic of mental health affect you?
Through difficult times in your life, is there anything consistent you do/use/have used that would help you overcome that adversity?
Would you find this method falling into any particular category? For example; art, meditation, physical exertion, etc.
Is this something you've just started recently or have been doing for a while?
How'd you find this mechanism?
Is there anything you used to do and/or feel before you found it?
Walk me through what you're feeling leading up to the use of your method. [How do you know it's time to use it? Have you noticed any patterns you might fall into that lead you here?]
Is there usually any feeling associated during the use?
Afterwards?
What are some mental, physical and/or emotional aspects that help you understand this way of "therapy" is/isn't working for you?
Do you find this therapy to be more short-term or long-term?
How do you think it can help others?
Do you have any ideas on what you'd like to incorporate in our shoot together?
Are there any days/times that work better for you to meet? (Don't worry, we'll keep our physical distances)
Is there anything else you'd like to share?
Any comments / questions are welcome :-)
