- Evaluating Your JAPANese Understanding -

J-CLUE ( JAPANese Culture & Language Understanding Evaluation)
This will act as proof of your present JAPANese Understanding.

1. Questions are divided into five sections. In total, there are 100 questions (20 for each section: Language & People, Everyday Life, Culture & Society, Economy & Politics, and Geography & History). The test takes about 60 minutes.

2. Questions are written in three different scripts: English, hiragana/katakana, and standard script that includes kanji. The English translation is shown on the opposite page as a reference. You must read the Japanese script part.

Fill in the answers under each question in the same script as the questions. If you are unable to read the script for a particular question, skip it. If you understand the question, but cannot answer in the same script, you can write it in another script.
