Represent Auckland in our Premier Royals
Representative Teams in the 2023 NHC and join the over 800 players in our
rich 120 year history to play Provincial Hockey and contest the Challenge
Shield and K Cup.

personnel as 2022:

The NHC will take place in Hamilton during the week
of 9-16 September.
Interested players should complete the Expression
of Interest Form below by April 13
Players who have expressed interest will be
monitored via observation of matches by coaches as well as conversations by
selectors with club coaches between April 13 and end of July.
OPEN TRAINING
There will be some open Monday
trainings at LEP on the following dates for those not involved
in regional hnz trainings: 12, 19, 26, June.
TRIAL BY INVITATION
A trial match(es)by invitation will take place
on 10 and/or 17 July.
TEAM NAMED
The final teams of 16 Players (players 17 and 18
will be development players )will be selected by Sunday July 30 and announced
on the AKH website. There will be no Tier 2 teams and like 2022 AKH will select
a Development team in September to participate in an Aus Exchange in the
last week of November - Melbourne TBC.
BUILD UP MATCHES
3-4 Practice matches v Northern Region Assn teams
will be organised for various sundays in July for the Men and
July/Aug for the women. Dates tbc are: july 9, 16, 23 , 30, Aug 6, 13 and
20.
WEEKLY TRAINING
Training will be once per week on Mondays or
Sundays TBC through July/August and move to twice per week after Club
Finals weekend in mid august. Dates tbc are: 2-31 July and then
after Club finals Tuesdays and Thursdays aug 22- sep 7 inclusive.
ACCOMODATION AND COSTS
The Teams will stay at Ventura Inn Hotel. Player
Contribution costs are TBC but around the $1000 mark for this year’s
campaign.
LEAVE LETTERS
AKH is happy to write the requisite letter for
University and Employment leave for players on request.
