OZHarvest and St Louis Food Tech
Over the course of the next term, students in year 6 will be exploring the issues around food waste in Australia during their STEM learning.

As part of this program, they will be creating a range of different recipes that encourage the use of ingredients which are often wasted in homes.

To support the delivery of this, we are seeking parents who would be willing to come in and support Thomson and our year 6 students in the classroom, preparing, making, cooking and cleaning down afterwards.

Below you will see the timetable of the term, which includes when each class will be cooking. This will allow you to then choose a session/sessions that will be with your child.

Please note, it is a requirement that any parent helper who works onsite with our children must have a current Working With Children Check and present this at the office upon arrival.

The cooking sessions will either be on a Wednesday or Thursday  from 9:25am - 10:45am (if you are available from 9am to help setup, that'd be great).
