The Forest runs from the 4th of November to January TBT.

You will be contacted by a member of our staff once your preferred cabin is available. Should you have a secondary preference, if that cabin comes available before your preferred cabin you will still be contacted. You do have the option at that time to decline if you wish to wait for your preferred cabin. IF you do decline, please be aware that there is absolutely no guarantee that we will reach your name again on our wait list, as our wait list is first come first serve. As much as we wish we could allow each one of you to join us this holiday season, we do not have a set maximum rental time. This means that someone could rent a cabin for a week, or for the full season.

Since our wait list is quite extensive this year, and we have limited spacing, when each resident is contacted they will have ONE hour to respond to our staff, and either decline their cabin offering, or be taken to the cabin for rental. Should the resident who signed up for the wait list be offline, we will contact up to FIVE of the residents listed with them in order to provide the best chance at securing their rental. Please be aware that should NO ONE respond within that hour, we WILL move to the next name on our list. Your name will remain on the waitlist and the next time your picked cabin is available, you will be contacted again. 

All cabins come parcelled for your privacy. These cabins also include a security orb for added protection. Once you have paid the tier box, you will be automatically added as an admin on the orb, and any subtenants will be added as approved guests. Please note!! Our staff has already set up the orbs with our allowed settings, please do NOT change these settings!

1. No changes to our cabins will be made. This does include removing beds/sofas/chairs etc. We have worked incredibly hard and diligently on each and every cabin for the last few weeks to ensure they are cohesive in design and theme, and beautiful to look at.

2. Absolutely no refunds will be given for any reason at any time once your tier has been paid. Should you vacate your rental early, then you will lose the time paid.

3. Cabins will be considered vacated as soon as your tier expires. We will not hold cabins for any amount of time to allow you to retain the cabin once they are in arrears. As soon as a lease expires, we will clear the tier box, return prims and contact the next name on the list. This is to ensure all residents on our wait list have a fair chance to spend the holiday season at the Winter Wonderland.

4. Cabins will NOT be held in reserve. We have a first come first serve policy, and have very explicitly detailed the amount of time we are granting each group to respond to our contact when your cabin is available.

5. You are only allowed to use the prim amount listed for your specific cabin. Please be aware that we DO check these prim amounts, as we have to ensure that each cabin is able to use their allotted prim amounts. If you are over your prim limits, you will be contacted to remove items. If after 24 hours you are still over your prim allowance, items will be returned at random, starting with the item that has the highest prim count until you are below your permitted allotment.

6. Absolutely no skyboxes or platforms are permitted.

7. Please do not rez out any large objects, vehicles, animals, etc that will increase the lag on the sim. We try our best to reduce the lag so we ask that you help us in doing this.

8. We do understand that with the amount of detail we put into our resort, that there can be lag, particularly on older systems or systems that are not designed to handle graphics intensive settings. We take drastic measures to reduce the possibility of this as much as we possibly can. Please do not contact our staff should you lag, as there would be nothing we can do for you. We keep a careful eye on our regions, and do our best to ensure as lag free of an experience as we can.  There are a few things you can do as well should you experience lag, such as reduce your graphics preference quality and lowering your draw distance.

9. Since The Forest: Winter Wonderland is a family based holiday destination, nudity and adult behaviours of any kind are not permitted on any of our community areas. If within 5 minutes, you have not put clothing on, you will be ejected from the regions. Should this occur a secondary time, then you will be banned form our regions with your rental terminated (should you have one) with no refund granted. These behaviours are only permitted in your cabins, since they are parcelled for privacy. If within 5 minutes, you have not put clothing on, you will be ejected from the regions. 10. No swearing or vulgar language in public. Keep it PG please.

11. No disrespecting staff members or guests on our regions. Be respectful! Any abuse towards any member of our staff or other residents and guests of the region will result in an immediate ejection and ban from our regions, without a refund. We have a zero tolerance policy in regards to any form of abuse.

12. If you contact our staff for assistance, please give us 24 hours to respond. While we do wish to help you as soon as possible, we do all have real lives as well as families and jobs within Second Life as well. Thank you in advance for your patience!

13. Any items such as poses, snowboards etc that are rezzed out on the general areas MUST be picked up as soon as you have taken your photograph or completed your activity. Any items found unattended will be returned immediately.

14. Any Zooby or prim babies that you rez MUST be picked up when you are not on the region. While adorable, and often central to RP, these items utilize a high amount of script and memory usage, and do cause region lag over time.

15. By continuing with this form you are stating that you have read the rules above and agree with our ToS. Ignorance of our covenant as well as Linden Lab's ToS is not an excuse, and offenders will be evicted, ejected and banned based upon the severity of the infraction. We hate to state this, and we hate even more to have to follow through on those actions, so please help us by ensuring you and all guests follow our covenants and Linden Lab's ToS. These rules apply to every renter and visitor to our regions.
