The McKinney-Vento Act is a federal law supporting children and youth experiencing housing instability or homelessness. The information provided in this survey will assist RPS in determining protections the student may be eligible to receive. Submission does not guarantee eligibility. An RPS staff will follow-up via phone to review the completed survey.  

Students who qualify for services under the McKinney-Vento Act have three (3) choices for school selection.
1. Enroll in the zoned school for their temporary address (zone school), or
2. Remain in the current/last school attended (school of origin), or
3. Enroll where they were attending at the time housing was lost (school of origin).
