Become a Volunteer Educator! Take our online e-VEP course and you will get tailored support to prepare and deliver your own workshop.
If you are a young migrant, asylum seeker or refugee and you’d like to share your passion, skills, knowledge or story with the local community, join our international community of Volunteer Educators (VEs). Throughout the process, you will be supported by a trainer and the e-VELP team to transform your idea into a workshop!
What’s different about this course?
Our online course provides you with a customised learning plan once you complete an online questionnaire which will assess your current level of skills and knowledge, and propose an educational path that works just for you!
Through this course we aim to support young migrants, refugees and asylum seekers - new to the European Union - to improve their interpersonal skills, widen their network and get individual support from a trainer in order to support their social and labour market integration.
For participating you will get a certificate, Youthpass, and 2,5 ECTS from Vilnius University which can be measured as a learning achievement for students in most EU universities!
Your activities as a Volunteer Educator include:
- Take our online questionnaire to help us tailor your online course to respond to your aspirations and needs.
- Take the e-course on your own time, and your trainer will be there to assist if you experience any blockers.
- Your time investment is estimated at 40 hours of learning - depending on your customised learning plan- reflecting with your trainer and co-working in groups.
- Deliver your own workshop with the support of the e-VELP team and your trainer!
Take the chance and apply to become a Volunteer Educator, by telling us some more information about yourself, background and ideas for the workshop! Once we have your application, we will match you with a trainer who will support you from Day 1 of your e-VELP journey!
