Hello,

Thank you for your interest in becoming involved with Deep Root Center for Self-Directed Learning. Our goal is to provide the facilities, open environment, resources, and support for young people who choose to live and learn without school.  We work collaboratively with individuals and other organizations in our community to fulfill our goals of providing these services to our members.
 
Deep Root Center is a nonprofit organization, tax-exempt and incorporated in the State of New York.  Its activities are overseen by a Board of Directors drawn from the local community.

From time to time, our Board has vacancies, which are filled through election by the current Board members.  In considering prospective members, we look for individuals who share Deep Root Center's commitment to self-directed learning.  We also seek to maintain a balance of skills, experience, geographic representative, and perspectives among Board members.
