MI Masks+ for Children Project (FREE)

To honor the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr., Single Family Living is proud to partner with the Michigan Community Service Commission to sew masks remotely for community project.  (MI Masks+) a remote service project to help communities stop the spread of COVID-19 by sewing children and adult size masks.

Many sewers have recruited friends, family members and even neighborhoods to sew masks together.   This is a great project to involve youth as volunteers. Safety guidelines need to be followed to ensure all involved in the project are safe.  All masks will be donated to children attending childcare, before and after school programs, being cared for within foster care, and other support organizations.

Finished Masks must be put in the provided Sealed bags. Feel free to take pictures of yourself, family, and friends sewing the masks! Have fun with this project! All masks will be donated to children attending childcare, before and after school programs, being cared for within foster care, and other support organizations for children.

*If you are part of school or club and would like to participate, please email: jeri.hunley@singlefamilyliving.org
