Cum One, Cum All, and help the Brno Hash House Harriers celebrate FIVE YEARS of traipsing around the parts of Brno your mother would warn you to avoid, if she only knew they existed!
Yes, that's right, by February these shenanigans will have been going on for a whole 260 weeks, and over the course of the weekend we will not only celebrate the birthday of the greatest hash in Moravia, we will also celebrate our 50th trail, an achievement in and of itself!
What's the plan?The plan, as usual, is simple, because the idiot in charge has to be able to remember what's going on! The Birthday Weekend will take place over, would you believe it, an entire weekend, comprising of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. And the schedule for each day is as follows;
Friday 23rd February 2024 - Group Dinner and Drinks
We will meet at (or around) 7pm on Friday 23rd February for a group dinner, drinks, and maybe a pub crawl. Expect some unexpected shenanigans - maybe there will be a game of some kind, or a special challenge - that will be decided once I have an idea of how many people we're going to have attending.
Saturday 24th February 2024 - Hash Trail and Lunch, plus Group Dinner/Party in the evening
We will have a traditional Hash Trail on Saturday. The meeting point for all trails in Brno is Hlavni Nadrazi (Main Train Station) just outside the main entrance, and we will gather there at 12 noon. This will give me time to set the trail in the morning after the exertions of the previous evening, and of course the fact I will no doubt be out quite late on Friday will mean you can expect a super flat and extremely boring trail.
That is, you can expect that, if you've never met me before. I won't let a silly thing like a late night prevent me from finding great terrain and setting the most fun trail possible!
At some point on trail we will stop for a quick bite to eat, to ensure you all have enough energy, and of course some refreshments of a more liquid variety.
After trail everyone will have time to go and freshen up before we meet in the evening for the shenanigans to continue...
The evening plan...
Saturday evening will, if we have enough people of course, be split into two parts.
Part the First will involve meeting at 7pm for dinner, because we need to ensure there is a lining on our stomachs for the rest of the night.
Part the Second will involve moving to a very nearby location where we can have a party! Said party will involve games and challenges, typical Hash shenanigans, maybe a raffle (if there are things to raffle), and other things that might be made up on the night. And, of course, plenty of beer, and ongoing shenanigans for as long as people want to continue!
Sunday 25th February 2024 - Hangover Trail and Goodbyes
The plan for Sunday will be simple and uncomplicated - we will meet at the train station at 11am for a short Hangover Trail and Circle, and then say our goodbyes and people can return home to wherever they happen to live.
This, as is traditional, will be a much shorter and easier trail than the main trail on Saturday, and will give visitors a chance to see parts of the city they might otherwise miss.
Go on then, tell us the event price...
The event price is FREE!!! And by FREE, I of course mean that you don't pay anything up front, you just have to pay for whatever you consume during the course of the weekend. But it's Czech Republic, so will be cheap wherever we end up! There will be a nominal Hash Cash sum to cover trail costs such as transport to/from trail, and any booze that might happen to be left lying around in the forests along the trail. And Down Down drinks of course!
I had intended to organise Haberdashery for this event, but as not enough people want a shirt to justify the expense, and as I'm not in a position to pay for a bunch of shirts up front and have them sitting in my cupboard at home for however long it takes to sell them, that plan has been abandoned.
In order to ensure that enough space is booked in restaurants and so on, I ideally need to know at least who is cumming to what part of the weekend - so if, for example, you can make the Saturday Trail but nothing else, please ensure you check that box below.
There are only Yes and No options - no Maybe - so if you click YES to everything you will be expected to be where you said you were going to be!
