BMS PTO Volunteering and Open Board Positions
Join us! We meet monthly on the 1st Monday of the month at 6pm to plan, coordinate, and review our community/ fundraising events. We are always looking for volunteers and would love to involve people who may be interested in active roles on the board.
We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that offers a free membership to anyone with a student at BMS.
OPEN BOARD POSITIONS:
● Treasurer: Maintain books and records in accordance with state and federal regulations: responsible for regular reporting of accounting to the Board, adherence to budget, and scheduling the filing of taxes.
● Fundraising Chair: Research & report to board possible fundraising ideas; ensures events are progressing
● Community Events Chair: Acts as liaison between committee chairs & board; ensures events are progressing
● Auction Coordinator: along with Auction committee plans the Shamrocks and Shenanigans Auction Fundraiser - the source of our Innovative Grants Fund
● Picnic on the Green Coordinator: Plans lunch picnic for BMS students and families, tentatively in October
● 8th Grade Dance Coordinator: plans the 8th grade end-of-year dance
● Book Fair Coordinator: plans Book Fair at Open House in the Spring
●School Liaisons needed for MFE, MTE, and BHS: attend PTG or PTA meetings to share/provide info regarding fundraising and community events.
