Give Rowing A Go
Free rowing tryout sessions for school students in Year 8 and up.

Rowing is a great sport for building fitness and resilience within a supportive community. It's also a whole lot of fun. If you are serious about competing for your college in 2025, or you're just curious to see what it feels like to paddle backwards up a river, now is a great time to get involved.

All equipment is provided and no experience is necessary. Just come along and have a go.

WHEN: Sunday the 14th, 21st & 28th April 1.30pm – 3.30pm
WHERE: 369 Wairoa Road (near Bethlehem)
BRING: Exercise clothes and bring a sun hat, water bottle, socks and running shoes.

Parental consent and acknowledgement of risk

I agree to my child taking part in Bay of Plenty Coast Rowing Club's (BOPCRC) "Give rowing a go!" programme.

Despite BOPCRCs commitment to safety I understand that there are risks associated with this programme and these risks cannot be eliminated.

I understand that participants do not wear buoyancy aids while on or near the water and that a motorised boat will accompany rowers whilst they are on the water.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, we release BOPCRC and all persons directly or indirectly associated with "Give rowing a go!" from all claims, demands and proceedings relating to our or the student's participation.
