Message to P4P 2/19/2020

Hi P4P,

Some news to share and some events to sign up. Forgive my long message, but many details to get out there about our first half of 2020! Please respond as soon as possible to what you are available for so I may begin planning details.

Gig sign ups March-June 15th. This is the most current list, others may be added.

Friday, February 28th - P4P Alumni Geo Pettigrass takes the stage at the Landmark Theater in support of a fundraiser for The Redhouse -Let’s fill the place with P4P in support of Gio. I will have 5 seats available in my van if anyone needs a ride. Advance sale tickets are $10.  Check below in the sign ups and I will get the number of tickets we need.

Friday, March 6th-This was originally held for a return to the Ignite the Winter event we have played the last 5 years. I have not been contacted this year to play and I see no updates on their website that the event is happening this year. I suspect that with the creation of the Harriet Tubman Festival that the city has organized for downtown that weekend Ignite has chosen not to hold the event. So that brings us to the SAMMY’S. I have no inside information of how the votes are going and if we would actually win this category. It is an honor for us to have been nominated and make it to the final 4 in voting. I have been asked to be an award presenter at this year's event(something I have done in the past, so don’t read anything into that), but who knows it's all good fun. Tickets to this event are $20 presale. By next Tuesday we will know if we are in the finals, and they will announce the winner at the event on the 6th. It is a fun night of great music from all over CNY.

Saturday, March 7th-12pm- P4P Small Ensemble will perform with the Harriet Tubman Singers from Genesee Elementary School at ERHC downtown Auburn.

Friday, March 20th-Nick’s Night Out Gala Fundraiser-530-9 Chantelle Marie Lakehouse 515 W. Lake Road, Auburn, NY- We will play 3 sets between dinner and speeches. The final set will feature Parents 4 Purpose playing some Queen and some other favorites.

Mark your Calendars-Big Gig Here!!! We will be traveling with the Harriet Tubman singers June 5th(after school) to Cambridge, Maryland to perform 2 shows on June 6th. One show will be at the Harriet Tubman Museum and Education Center during the day, and another evening show, site to be determined. We will return the morning of June 7th. For clarity, this trip will include any of our P4Per’s not just the small ensemble that has been performing with HTS locally. We will be planning a fundraising gig to help cover the expense for kids. Please let me know ASAP if this is a trip you would want to make with us so we can confirm numbers with organizers.
