Dear Parents/Guardians and Students,

My name is Mrs. Mullinax. I am the Library Media Specialist here at Pathways to College. I am thrilled to announce the reopening of the Bobcat Library and our new online library system! I cannot tell you how much I have missed having you all visit the Library, especially reading to you. I look forward to the day when students can return safely to our school campus.

In the meantime, let us build our students to be skillful researchers, critical thinkers, and avid readers. We can do this by putting a book in every student’s hand. Students can now visit our Online Library to request/exchange books. Please encourage your student to check-out books and share them with you and your family.

We have a couple of new library guidelines to follow:

> It is the responsibility of each student to handle their borrowed books with care. So, we can continue to share them with everyone. Please take good care of our books, be RESPONSIBLE by keeping them out of harm from foods and liquids, pets, and younger siblings.

> If a book is lost or damaged, Parent/Guardian and Student are responsible to either 1) pay the cost to replace the book, or 2) purchase the book yourself and replace it.

> Before being allowed to check books out, Parents/Guardians must fill out the ONLINE PERMISSION AND RESPONSIBILITY FORM. Please complete one (1) per student.

> Library Book requests must be made no later than 10:00 am to receive SAME DAY processing. Any requests submitted after 10:00 am will be processed the next day.

> Only two (2) books can be checked-out at a time. Books must be returned two (2) weeks from the RECEIVED DATE. Once your books are returned, you may request up to two (2) more.

> Book requests are open for curbside pick-up and drop-off during the following days/times:
Monday: 11:30 am to 1:00 pm
Tuesday through Friday: 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm
If you are unable to pick-up/drop-off during these times, you may drop by the Front Office and pick-up/drop-off your books, Monday through Friday, between 8:00 am to 11:30 am or 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm.

> Pathways is most concerned about maintaining student and staff safety. All books that are returned will be disinfected and set aside for two (2) days. The books will then be returned to the shelves for the next request!
