Hello and thank you for your interest in joining our 2021-2022 PTA!

The HES PTA serves as a liaison between the Huntersville Elementary parents, students, teachers and administration. Through various fundraising initiatives, the PTA supports many programs including student incentives, character recognition, the purchase of technology and other supplies, staff appreciation and so much more. All of this work takes a strong, hardworking, and goal oriented PTA.

It is fundamental to the continued success of our PTA that we fill next year’s positions with interested and dedicated parents. Please consider getting involved – even if you have never participated in PTA activities before. There’s a lot you can do!

Reflections Committee Chair - This is a small role that will require involvement during the months of Sept., Oct., & Nov. Chair of committee communicates the theme for Reflections contest 2021 which is a national PTA theme. Chair will communicate with Mecklenburg Co. PTA on how to collect and submit entries. Chair will communicate with HES contestants’ families on how to submit their art. Judges must be selected for our school’s contest. Winners are announced and their artwork is submitted to the county level contest

School tours - guiding new or interested families through the building.

Buddy’s Best/Student Recognition— Volunteer requests honor roll info from Mrs. Davis and prepares dog tags for A and A/B honor roll. Volunteer will make sure there are enough certificates for both honor rolls. If we have assemblies again, volunteer will work with character award winners as they receive their certificate at assembly to have their picture taken with Buddy. This requires presence at the school during all 4 quarter recognition assemblies and prep work prior to them.

Volunteer Coordinator - Create, communicate PTA interest sheet at beginning of year. Set up volunteers for welcome desk, musicals, classroom support. Manage PTA bulletin board (across from fishtank)

Buddy the Bulldog mascot - Need someone that can dress for school events and Buddy’s Best assemblies.
