F.A.Q.
  1. What are we revisiting the articles? There are a few reasons. First, they are fun to write. More importantly though, each martial art is an example of things you can do within the framework of Metahumans Rising. Also, we may have been playing a lot of Street Fighter 6 lately.
  2. How were the various martial arts selected? During the initial run of the series we wanted to capture a mix of styles that would be familiar due to their popularity, and styles that were outside the public eye but possessed interesting elements, be it the appearance, history, or fighting philosophy. Due to the width and depth of martial arts around the world, there are a number of very recognizable styles that we simply didn't cover. The new list of potential styles is designed to cover some of those basic gaps, and continue to expand on the lesser known options.
  3. Are there any special rules, or differences between a martial artist and other heroes? How to handle Fighting Styles in general, and the differences between that and a Power are covered in the core book, pg. 50. The original article series did introduce several new Combat Maneuvers, open to anyone, like Crippling Strike, and Set Up. New articles are unlikely  to require any additional changes.
  4. Is the format changing? There may be minor changes for readability, but there are no major changes planned for the format.
