Bergan Bank in School Permission Form
The Bergan Branch of RVR Bank will be open on a Tuesday in early first quarter (watch for the start date to be announced). Starting this day, students can make deposits into their own savings account every Tuesday morning.

What does this mean to you and your child? Your student will be able to open a savings account with your permission. Since this is a unique situation, all money deposited will be under one Bergan umbrella account. However, information about each child’s deposits will be maintained separately and kept confidential.

The Bergan account is only active at the Bergan branch. Withdrawals will only be allowed when the student leaves our school or graduates from sixth grade. At that time, a check will be issued for their balance in the account. The bank will be open every Tuesday morning from 7:50-8:20 a.m. to accept students’ deposits.  Each student will have their own ledger to record their deposits. These will be maintained and kept in a central location. In lieu of interest, children receive incentives provided by RVR Bank when they make deposits into their savings accounts – based on consistent savings and amount of savings.

If your student was already enrolled in a prior year, you do not need to complete this form. This is only for those who have not enrolled previously.

RVR Bank will match the up to the first $5 that each student deposits on the opening day as a thank you for participating in the program. This match is for both new and returning savers.
