What better way to be involved with CPRS District 10 then by joining a committee! This is a great opportunity to contribute to the success of District 10, gain leadership & planning skills and expand your professional network.

A brief description for each committee has been listed. Please rank your committee choices below. You may volunteer and sign up for multiple committees. Please keep in mind this is an interest form and does not guarantee a position in the desired committee(s). Limited space is available for each committee. Spaces will be filled on a first come, first serve basis. If you are not chosen to fill a vacancy, we encourage you to reach out in other formats to stay involved with District 10.

Interest forms are due by Friday, June 11th.

Recreation Leader Training Consortium Committee
District 10 is the only district that provides a dedicated, quarterly training for part time staff. In 2018, our top tier program received the CPRS Board Education Award!

Plan and develop 3 quality training events for part time staff
Coordinate and execute event day responsibilities
Committee meets monthly
Events are held on Saturdays in November, February and May; (attendance is required)

Programs Committee
Help keep our members engaged, educated and connected. The Programs Committee provides training and networking opportunities for District 10 members throughout the year.

Create and implement two (2) general membership meetings and one (1) social event
Create and implement District 10 Training in January 2021
Create and implement District 10 Social for the March 2021 CPRS Conference
Committee meets monthly


Scholarship Committee
Our Scholarship Committee supports students in their educational endeavors. Scholarship winners are not only awarded financial assistance, but also receive a CPRS membership to encourage professional involvement and development.

Assist in the promotion of the CPRS D10 Scholarship program
Distribute and receive scholarship applications
Review and score scholarship applications
Distribute awards at the Awards & Installation Banquet in April (attendance is required)
Committee meets one time per year; majority of correspondences through email

Awards Committee
We LOVE to recognize and and honor individuals and organizations who contribute to our profession and to the quality of life within the communities we serve. Professional achievement is captured and awarded through the Coveted Leadership Award, Most Valuable Part-Time Player Award, Volunteer Merit Awards and more!

Assist in the promotion of the CPRS D10 awards program
Distribute and receive awards applications
Review applications and select award recipients
Distribute awards at the Awards & Installation Banquet in April (attendance is required)
Committee meets at least twice a year
Installation Banquet Committee
Held every April, the Awards & Installation Banquet marks the culmination of efforts and success throughout the year within our profession. This highly anticipated event is our opportunity to celebrate and recognize achievements from individuals and agencies within District 10.

Plan and implement incoming President’s installation and awards banquet
Coordinate event logistics including catering, site coordination, decor, donations, etc.
Committee meets 6 times throughout the year
All members must attend the banquet

Mentoring Committee
District 10's wants to engage students, young professionals and anyone pursuing professional growth. The Mentoring Committee provides opportunities for these individuals to connect and learn from experienced professionals throughout the year.

Plan and implement networking and career development opportunities
Engage and market to students and young professionals throughout the district
Committee meets once a month
All members must attend mentoring events
Communications Committee
Commit to keep our members informed, engaged and connected with District 10! Through the D10 Digest and social media channels, this group will consistently provide members with all the most up to date information.

•      Generate and coordinate post for District 10’s social media accounts
Generate content for District 10's D10 Digest digital newsletter
Take photos and videos at District 10 and Section events
Committee meets twice per year
