Have you ever wondered about the science that unfolds in your kitchen? What would happen if we made changes to the chemistry of our ingredients? Follow along during our gastronomy cooking class by Sara Evans where we play with our food!


What to expect:

  • Learn: Presentation on the theory of jellies and the biomolecules involved
  • Follow Along: Jelly making tutorial using pectin vs gelatin
  • Experiment: Play with your food by experimenting with enzymes

What you’ll need if you want to follow along:

  • Fruit juice (berry juice is a safe option, no additives)
  • Sugar
  • Water
  • Gelatin and/or pectin or agar agar
  • Pan and heating element
