We're got a great evening planned.
Where - Richmond Library, 280 Queen Street, Richmond.
When - Tuesday 16 April 2024, doors open at 6.30pm
Pizzas from 6.45pm
7pm - Have horse will travel.
We are excited to have local rider Naomi Alexander come and share her experiences and great photos of long-distance riding. Naomi will tell us how she got into long distance trail riding, how she prepares herself and her horse, where she stays and tips for how to get into trail riding.
Naomi was born and raised in Pukekohe and has had horses since she was a girl. Naomi did the usual pony club and showing stint, then spent a couple years in Tauranga breaking horses in, working young ones and problem-solving with difficult horses using natural horsemanship, as well as barefoot trimming, trekking and running horse riding camps with Graeme Saville. Moving on from there she did more of the same in Waikato, dabbled in equine massage, and spent a year in Te Anau working as a horse trek guide. She moved to Nelson nine years ago to get into more mountain and long-distance riding and has been developing that dream ever since.
7.30pm NRC AGM
