Our school has the opportunity to utilize Title I funding to meet various academic and social-emotional needs of our students. . Each year, we reach out to our families as we develop our Title I budget and conduct stakeholder surveys. Please take a moment to review the items our leadership team would like to include in the upcoming Title I budget as you complete this survey. Your input is greatly appreciated.

Proposed Walkertown Middle School Title I Budget Items for 2022-2023:
 
*Adding two additional Classroom Teachers to reduce overall class size and meet student needs more effectively.
*Continuing to fund a Parent Family Engagement Coordinator to provide guidance to the school in the deployment of family engagement activities that offer parents and family members opportunities to
increase knowledge and skills that support positive student outcomes.
*Adding a part time Parent Assistant to help parents and families with communication and partnering with the school to support their students’ academic experiences.
*Continuing to offer a part time additional MTSS Academics Interventionist to provide a multi-tier
system of instruction, assessment and intervention designed to meet the achievement, behavioral, and social-emotional learning needs of all students using researched based-interventions.
*Adding a Behavior Intervention Specialist to provide behavior support to students in the
classroom and school setting using social emotional support and positive behavior intervention strategies.
* Remaining budget for instructional resources for the 2022-2023 school year.
