Erika Battaglia - Erika has been a classroom volunteer for the last five years and a PTA member. Her husband was been a member of SSC for the last two years, making her aware of the duties and responsibilities. She is interested in serving on the SSC because one of her top priorities is to ensure her children receive the best education possible. To that end, having a voice in developing, approving , and monitoring the Single Plan for Student Achievement and the school's budget is one way that she can contribute to her children's educational experience through high school. Erika has been a public servant for over 23 years; of which nearly 14 years have been dedicated to education. She is currently a Special Education Teacher, and as such understands the importance of all students receiving quality education that is enriched with extracurricular opportunities. She has participated in her school's Safety Committee and understand the importance of a strong Safety Plan for our school site. If selected, she will bring her extensive experience as an educator to contribute to the development, approval and monitoring of the Single Plan for Student Achievement and school budget, which will reflect the goals of Camarena Elementary and that which the school community can be proud of.

Elisama Chavez - Elisama is a previous SSC Member and classroom volunteer. She hopes to contribute in working with the principal and other members to decide on the key priorities to take forward and provide a voice for parents on issues that are important to them. Also, to support improvement by discussing the school's strengths and areas for development from a parental perspective.

Adolfo Galdamez - Adolfo has been as a staff member of Del Mar Union School District, where he worked for 15 years. Something he can bring to table is the ability to have seen the ins and outs of education. The need to better support our teachers to further their support of our students.

Ashton Mackintosh - Ashton is a current PTA member and has experience volunteering in preschool and kindergarten special education classrooms. She is a brand new school mom, who is eager to help shape the next 6 years of experience for these kids in the best way possible. She runs her own business securing funding, creating spending plans, designing IPP/IEPs and thinking of creative community based supports for all adults and children with intellectual and developmental disabilities. She thinks of herself as an advocate for the atypical student. She is extremely resourceful, and optimistic, truly believing that every problem has a solution.

Amanda Sosa - Amanda has volunteered in the classroom, was a previous member of SSC, and a BAC Representative for Camarena. She would bring the experience that she has learned from her previous experience with SSC and BAC. She has worked for the Department of Defense for 20 years in resource management/finance. She would like to be as active as she can be with her children's education as they prepare themselves for middle school and their future.
